JOINT VENTURE DEVELOPMENTS
- Redevelopment of the Southwest Waterfront in Washington DC, as a Partner in Hoffman-Struever Waterfront LLC, Master Developer of a 23 acre, 2+ million square foot mixed-use, mixed-income redevelopment, and 19,000 square foot marina at the Southwest Waterfront in Washington, DC.
- Redevelopment of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, at 10th and G Streets NW, in Washington, DC, with PN Hoffman, in partnership with FCUCC, where the church will be demolished and rebuilt as 140,000 square feet of commercial office space, a sanctuary and related church facilities, and space for a meals and social service program for homeless people.
- New development, with McCormack Baron Salazar, of a 60 acre city-owned site in Ithaca, New York, for a new mixed-use, mixed-income community with a focus on sustainability, and linkage with downtown Ithaca, the adjacent trail and park systems and Lake Cuyahoga.
CONSULTING:
- The firm’s primary consulting clients have been Forest City Washington and the Housing Authority of the City of Spartanburg, SC.
- Bacon Development is serving as Development Consultant for the Spartanburg Housing Authority on the implementation of its $90 million, 510 unit residential and commercial Phyllis Goins HOPE VI Program.
- Previously Bacon Development assisted Forest City Washington on its successful proposal to develop 44 acres at the Southeast Federal Center on the Washington DC waterfront, and to redevelop a 31 acre site adjacent to The Johns Hopkins Hospital in East Baltimore MD.
